HyperDrive: Thunderbolt 3 USB-C Hub for 2016 MacBook Pro
Created by HYPER by Sanho Corporation
HyperDrive is the World's Most Compact and Fastest 50Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 USB-C Hub specifically designed for the 2016 MacBook Pro. It is the first hub in the market to utilize two Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports on the MacBook Pro to deliver the fastest 50Gb/s bandwidth across 7 ports (HDMI, USB 3.1 x 2, micro SD, SD, USB-C, Thunderbolt 3 with 100W Power Delivery), virtually restoring all the ports found on the previous 2015 MacBook Pro model.

$300K and $500K Stretch Goals Announced!
– Fri, Jan 20, 2017 at 05:33:10 AM
We know that many backers are asking for the addition of mini DisplayPort and ethernet port as stretch goals but honestly those are not realistic stretch goals given our short delivery timeframe.
Making significant changes to the product takes a lot of planning and not something that can be decided on a whim. So it is either we deliberately withhold planned product features at launch or we promise unplanned product features that would severely impact our already proposed delivery timeline.
We are doing neither.
We WANT to make the best product out there in the market. That is why we had already presented our BEST product version at the launch of this Kickstarter campaign. When we do make minor product improvements along the way, we will implement it immediately because we want to make the best product out there and not because we want to entice more backers to our project.
We also don't want to be one of those projects that will pander to any popular demand in the hope of luring potential backers sitting on the fence. It is not difficult to notice that projects that promise fantastic product feature stretch goals are also projects that fail to deliver or are perpetually in development.
That being said, we are still looking into mini DisplayPort and ethernet port options but just not within the scope of this project.
Wow long speech. Still there?
Without further ado *drumroll* our next 2 stretch goals will be a free velvet pouch for the HyperDrive (when we hit $300K in funding which is almost given at this point) and a free upgrade from velvet to a leather pouch with magnetic closure for the HyperDrive (when we hit $500K in funding).
Below are pictures of the pouches. Enjoy!
(Left to Right): Space Gray HyperDrive, Velvet Pouch, Leather Pouch, Silver HyperDrive
(Left to Right): Space Gray HyperDrive on top of Velvet Pouch, Silver HyperDrive on top of Leather Pouch
(Left to Right): Space Gray HyperDrive with Velvet Pouch, Silver HyperDrive with Leather Pouch
(Left to Right): Space Gray HyperDrive in Velvet Pouch (trust us, it's in there), Silver HyperDrive in Leather Pouch (actually we switched the HyperDrives)

Opps the leather pouch is a little tight. Don't worry, we have already made plans to increase the size just by a little so that the magnetic closure will work.
So get out there and spread the word of this project to your friends, family, anyone you know who is using the 2016 MacBook Pro, via facebook, twitter, instagram, snapchat and any means possible.
Hit those goals and get those pouches!

Product Update #1: Reversible HyperDrive & New White LED Activity Indicator
about 9 years ago
– Thu, Jan 19, 2017 at 02:35:38 PM
From the private messages and comments posted by backers here, we gather that some of you are not aware that HyperDrive (like the Thunderbolt 3 USB-C connectors themselves) are reversible and you can actually use the HyperDrive on either side of the 2016 MacBook Pro with Touchbar (sorry non-Touchbar 2016 MacBook Pro users, you only have 2 x Thunderbolt 3 USB ports on the left side only)
New extruded seamless Thunderbolt 3 USB-C connector
HyperDrive can be used on either side of the MacBook Pro
The problem was the blue LED activity indicator light was only visible on one side of the HyperDrive.
Blue LED activity indicator light only visible when HyperDrive is inserted on the left side of the 2016 MacBook Pro
The solution is to move the LED activity indicator light to the bottom of the HyperDrive so that it is visible from either orientation. We have also made the LED activity indicator larger and changed the LED activity indicator color from blue to white, to be consistent with the white LED backlit keyboard.
We hope you like this.

P.S. Don't worry about the HyperDrive colors not matching the MacBook Pro. We were just experimenting with different shades of color. The final HyperDrive will match the Silver and Space Gray colors of the MacBook Pro.

Thank you for your overwhelming support that has allowed us to reach our $100,000 funding target in under 7 hours since launch. We have now raised over $200K in a single day.
Your strong support has given us the needed affirmation to place a larger raw materials order and start mass production later this month, earlier than scheduled.
We will announce $300K and $500K stretch goals in the next update.

Almost there for $500K stretch goal - Free leather pouch for HyperDrive
about 9 years ago
– Sat, Jan 14, 2017 at 09:13:14 AM
We are almost at $500K funding!
Help us push past $500K by clicking the "Share" buttons on the main HyperDrive project page NOW
So that we can announce the next $750K stretch goal (which will be a good one) and unlock this stretch goal of free leather pouch.
Now an update on the leather pouch
In our previous update, the leather pouch was too tight so we loosen things a little.
We also experimented with dark brown leather color but ultimately decided to go with black leather color.
In addition to experimenting with different leather colors, we were also testing different Space Gray and Silver color shades for the HyperDrive to find the perfect match to the MacBook Pro.
That's it for now.
If you have not done so already, help us blast past the $500K goal by going to the main HyperDrive project page NOW and click the "Share" buttons so that we can announce the next $750K stretch goal (which will be a good one) and unlock this free leather pouch.
